BJP Leader Devender Singh Rana Advocates for Sanskrit Education in Jammu
Devender Singh Rana, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has emphasized the importance of fostering Sanskrit education among the youth in Jammu.
During a meeting with the Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sanathan Trust, led by President Mahant Rohit Shastri, Rana praised the Trust’s efforts and proposed making Sanskrit a mandatory subject for students starting from the sixth grade in schools across Jammu and Kashmir.
He highlighted the societal benefits of studying Sanskrit, including staying connected to India’s cultural heritage and accessing ancient texts and scriptures. Mahant Rohit Shastri expressed optimism about receiving support for promoting Sanskrit education in the region.
