AVPL International introduces skill-based diploma programmes for girls at Basti and Mirzapur Polytechnics
Basti/Mirzapur, 03rd September 2025: A new chapter has begun for young women in eastern Uttar Pradesh as AVPL International launches skill-based diploma programmes at Government Girls Polytechnic, Basti, and Government Girls Polytechnic, Mirzapur. Both institutions have recently received AICTE affiliation, enabling them to offer industry-relevant courses.
The programmes being introduced include Apparel Design and Fashion Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, and Fashion Design and Garment Technology. These courses are designed to provide students not only with academic knowledge but also with practical skills, industry exposure, and problem-solving abilities essential for today’s workplace. The initiative will also place a strong focus on entrepreneurship, encouraging young women to explore self-employment opportunities and create ventures of their own.
Speaking on this initiative, Dr Preet Sandhuu, Founder & Managing Director of AVPL International and Promoter of Startup Stairs, said: “Our aim is to help young women step forward with confidence. These programmes will prepare them to excel in both creative and technical fields, while also encouraging them to think like problem-solvers and entrepreneurs. With this initiative, we want to ensure that every girl has the opportunity to turn her potential into success.”
Through this step, AVPL International reaffirms its commitment to empowering women with education, skills, and entrepreneurial spirit, ensuring that girls from smaller towns have access to the same opportunities as their counterparts in larger cities.
