Arrests Made in Karni Sena President’s Murder: Delhi Police Hands Over Accused to Rajasthan Authorities
The Delhi Police have successfully apprehended and are set to transfer three prime suspects to the Rajasthan Police following the assassination of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the President of Karni Sena.
Ravindra Yadav, Special CP of Delhi Police Crime Branch, confirmed the arrests, naming Nitin Fauji from Mahendragarh, Rohit Rathore from Makrana, Rajasthan, and Udham Singh from Hisar as the primary culprits.
Coordination with Rajasthan authorities played a crucial role in tracking down the suspects’ movements after the murder.
Yadav detailed the suspects’ journey, stating they fled to Delhi from Didwana via a taxi and subsequently boarded a bus.
After careful surveillance, the police intercepted them in Chandigarh as they were en route to Jaipur from Manali.
Fauji and Rathore were identified as shooters, while Singh provided logistical support.
Director General of Police Umesh Mishra commended the team’s efforts and cooperation between Delhi and Chandigarh police forces, which culminated in the arrests.
Investigations revealed the accused used fake identities while staying in a Chandigarh hotel.
In a related development, the Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena announced a memorial service at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan for Gogamedi on Sunday, honoring his legacy after his tragic demise on December 5 in Jaipur.
Jaipur Police also apprehended Ramveer Singh, uncovering his involvement as a facilitator for one of the assailants.
The relentless pursuit and collaborative efforts of law enforcement from multiple regions led to the apprehension of these suspects, shedding light on the tragic incident that shook the Karni Sena and the nation at large.
