
Annual Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra Begins, Adequate Security Arrangements Made
Jammu, June 21, 2026 [VoM News]: A convoy of 214 buses carrying the pilgrims from Nagrota marked the begining of the Annual Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra ahead of the Jyeshtha Ashtami festival. Nearly, 8,500 devotees are departing from Jammu to visit the pilgrimage sites marking a great presence of religious observance.
The devotees are travelling to the holy revered shrine of Mata Ragnya Devi at Tulmulla in Ganderbal and other sites, marking the rise in numbers of pilgrims registeration this year.
The glory of the moment majorily is held at historic Mata Ragnya Devi shrine in Tulmulla where thousands of devotees offers prayer. Whereas, the religious gatherings are also witnessed at at several prominent shrines, including Tulmulla in Ganderbal, Tikker in Kupwara, Devsar-Manzgam in Kulgam and Logripora in Anantnag.

As per details available with VoM News, adequate security arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the yatra. The authorities have appointed the nodal officers who are being deployed at key locations to facilitate and assist the pilgrims throughout the yatra.
The yatra is considered as one of the significant religious observances for the Kashmiri Pandit community to be concluded likey on June 22, with the onset of Jyeshtha Ashtami.
