In an exciting announcement on the final day, it was unveiled that a total of 10 children’s libraries are set to be established in the near future, strategically positioned across the district.
These libraries will be dedicated to fostering activity-based learning and enhancing foundational literacy and numeracy skills. The focus of this initiative is particularly on students residing in remote areas and facing challenging socio-economic conditions, who often struggle with fundamental concepts from classes 1 to 5, such as pronunciation and sentence construction.
It’s a well-known fact that a shaky foundation in these early years can significantly impede educational success in later stages, putting our students at a disadvantage when competing with the nation’s top performers.Through this comprehensive program, we aim to fortify the educational underpinnings of students in classes 1 to 5, paving the way for a brighter future within our public schools.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar thanked Anandaya Foundation and looked forward to continue their efforts to promote education and literacy in Kishtwar and beyond. He also asked all the anteendes to take maximum out of the training session and percolate same at their levels.
