Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari’s Visit to C-DOT

Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari visited the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) Delhi Campus on March 26, 2024, as per an official statement. C-DOT is the premier telecom R&D center of the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India.

C-DOT is actively engaged in developing indigenous, secured telecom solutions for critical infrastructure such as defense communications and cybersecurity, as per the Ministry of Communications.

Presentation and Discussions

During the visit, CEO Rajkumar Upadhyay presented a detailed overview of C-DOT’s telecom product portfolio and highlighted key telecom security solutions, including security operation centers, enterprise security centers, quantum key distribution, and post-quantum cryptography.

A live demonstration of various solutions showcased their functional aspects, providing insights into their capabilities.

Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari interacted with senior officials of C-DOT and emphasized the importance of better synergy between C-DOT and the Air Force. He stressed the need for integrating futuristic and advanced secured communication solutions, considering the evolving landscape of modern warfare shifting from network-centric to data-centric approaches.

Upadhyay assured the Air Chief of C-DOT’s commitment to developing state-of-the-art security solutions tailored to the needs and requirements of the Air Force, ensuring enhanced communication capabilities in defense operations.
