    ACB Arrests Officials in Bribery Case in Telangana

    The Warangal Unit of Telangana’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has apprehended two officials in Mahabubabad for allegedly accepting bribes related to land registration at Danthalapalli village.

    Accused Identified and Allegations

    The arrested individuals are Tasleema Mohammed, sub-registrar of Mahabubabad, and Aleti Venkatesh, a data entry operator (Outsourcing). According to the ACB, Tasleema demanded a bribe of Rs 19,200 from a Danthalapalli resident to facilitate the registration of land purchased by the complainant.

    Bribe Recovery and Additional Findings

    The police recovered the bribe amount from Aleti Venkatesh, who acted as an intermediary. Chemical tests confirmed the presence of incriminating evidence on Venkatesh’s clothing. Additionally, Venkatesh was found in possession of unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 1,72,000.

    Legal Proceedings

    Both accused individuals, Tasleema Mohammad and Aleti Venkatesh, are being arrested and presented before the Hon’ble Special Court for SPE and ACB Cases-Cum-III Additional District & Sessions Judge in Warangal. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing, with more details awaited.
