NEW DELHI, JUNE 10, 2026 [VoM News]: Some Google Cloud customers in India faced temporary network disruptions after a fire at a third-party data centre in Delhi triggered an emergency shutdown of networking equipment, the company said on Tuesday.

According to Google Cloud, the incident led to a power shutdown at the facility, affecting a local point of presence in Delhi and reducing network capacity across the region. The disruption impacted traffic from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and nearby areas, resulting in slower connectivity and increased latency for several users and businesses.

The company did not disclose when the fire occurred or whether there were any injuries or property damage linked to the incident. Google Cloud also stated that there was no immediate workaround available while restoration efforts were underway.
