    New Delhi, May 23, 2026 [VoM News]: In a major gladglare, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Raghav Chadha has been appointed as chairman of the Rajya Sabha Committee on Petitions.

    Following the panel’s reconstitution by Chairman C P Radhakrishnan, the decision was made.

    Raghav Chadha recently joined the BJP after leaving the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

    The Rajya Sabha Secretariat has issued the official notification, as per which the newly formed committee came into effect from May 20 and includes 10 members from the Upper House.

    The committee consists of Harsh Mahajan, Gulam Ali, Shambhu Sharan Patel, Mayankkumar Nayak, Masthan Rao Yadav Beedha, Jebi Mather Hisham, Subhasish Khuntia, Rwngwra Narzary and Sandosh Kumar P.

    As per details available with VoM News, Dr Menaka Guruswamy has been nominated to the Joint Committee on the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

    Additionally, the Lok Sabha Speaker also nominated Arvind Ganpat Sawant to the same parliamentary panel with effect from May 21.
