MLA Shagun Parihar Raises Electrification Issue of Dacchan Villages in Jammu Kashmir Assembly

Kishtwar MLA Shagun Parihar today raised the urgent issue of several villages in Dacchan, including Kibber, Nathnala, Gokut, Hawaal, Prassan and Hudmata, which are still deprived of basic electricity facilities in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

Highlighting the severe hardships faced by residents, students, patients and small businesses living without power, she said the lack of electrification continues to hamper the region’s economic and social development.

To press for immediate action, the MLA moved a cut motion on the issue. However, she stated that she would withdraw the motion in the larger public interest if the Hon’ble Chief Minister assures the House of concrete and time-bound steps to electrify these villages at the earliest.
