Wagh Bakri Tea Group Executive Director Parag Desai Dies at 49
The Wagh Bakri Tea Group announced the passing of its Executive Director, Parag Desai, who tragically died at the age of 49. He had been hospitalized after suffering a severe head injury due to a fall the previous week and, unfortunately, succumbed to a brain hemorrhage on Sunday. The company shared the sad news through an Instagram post, expressing deep grief over his loss.
Accident and Medical Treatment
Parag Desai’s accident occurred when he fell near his residence, reportedly after being attacked by street dogs. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment but, despite medical efforts, could not recover from the brain hemorrhage.
Condolences and Remembrances
Shaktisinh Gohil, a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament and the Gujarat Congress Chief, offered his condolences and expressed his sadness over Parag Desai’s untimely demise. He extended sympathies to the entire Wagh Bakri family.

Parag Desai served as one of the two executive directors on the board of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group. He played a pivotal role in the group’s transformation into tea lounges and e-commerce. His leadership extended to the group’s sales, marketing, and export departments. Parag Desai was also an expert tea taster and evaluator, contributing to the company’s success.
