
Amid Security Concerns, 37 Mobile Towers Suspended in Bhaderwah, Doda Image/IndiaTimes
In a security move, Jammu Kashmir Home Department has ordered the suspension of mobile data services on 37 towers in the Bhaderwah area of Doda district.

As per order issued under Order No: Home-12(TSTS) of 2025, the suspension would be effective till May 27, 2025. The suspension has been made under the Temporary Suspension of Telecom Rules, 2024 which allows the immediate steps to be taken in case of national security and public peace sensitivity.

The order signed by Chandraker Bharti, Principal Secretary to Home Department, Govt has confirmed the move and directions from the authorised officer.
As the move initiated on May 22, 2025 (2200hrs), which would be effective till May 27, 2025 (2200) hrs, mobile data services including 2G/3G/4G/5G, and public wifi services have been suspended.
