    • ACD Kishtwar reviews progress on multiple development projects.

    • Emphasis on sustainable practices, grievance redressal, and public welfare.

In a bid to accelerate development projects and ensure timely completion, Sh. Phulail Singh, JKAS, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) and Additional District Programme Coordinator (ADPC) MGNREGA Kishtwar, chaired a review meeting today to assess ongoing initiatives across the district.

The ACD began by acknowledging the efforts of the Rural Development Department (RDD) Kishtwar officials for their effective logistics support during the recently concluded General Elections to the Legislative Assembly (GELA) 2024.

During the meeting, officials were directed to complete SOS works, both physically and financially, by September 30, 2024. A comprehensive Monthly Progress Report (MPR) is to be submitted after completion.

The review also covered the District and Union Territory Capex, with an emphasis on completing ongoing and new projects.

Under the MGNREGA component, the ACD stressed achieving the set targets within the specified timeline. Furthermore, he directed the completion of houses under the PMAY-G (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin) by the end of December 2024.

In line with Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G), the ACD emphasized the importance of establishing functional plastic management units and maintaining regular hopper tripper services to generate revenue for sanitation planning.

Sustainable practices were also encouraged for development projects, with a particular focus on fulfilling the criteria for Model Panchayats as outlined by the District Development Commissioner (DDC).

Sh. Phulail Singh urged all officials to work in close coordination to meet deadlines, address public concerns, and ensure transparency in the execution of all projects.
