Saudi Crown Prince’s Three-Day Visit
Saudi Arabian Prime Minister and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud is on a three-day visit to India, which includes his participation in the G20 Summit hosted in the country. The visit is significant for strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation on various fronts.
Ceremonial Reception and State Visit
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a ceremonial reception at Rastrapati Bhawan in New Delhi before his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House. During the visit, the Crown Prince is also expected to sign the minutes of the first meeting of the India-Saudi Strategic Partnership Council.
Historic Connectivity Agreement
On the sidelines of the G20 Summit, India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the European Union announced a historic agreement to launch a mega India-Middle East-Europe shipping and railway connectivity corridor. This groundbreaking initiative involves cooperation on connectivity and infrastructure between India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, EU member countries (France, Italy, Germany), and the US. The project is expected to give a sustainable direction to global connectivity and sustainability.
Media Oasis Event
Saudi Arabia organized a three-day event titled ‘Media Oasis’ in conjunction with the G20 Leader’s Summit in New Delhi. This event provides an immersive and interactive experience of Saudi Arabia’s leading projects in sectors such as tourism, entertainment, technology, culture, and sports. The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aimed at diversifying the country economically, socially, and culturally.
Strong Bilateral Relations
India and Saudi Arabia share cordial and friendly relations with deep-rooted economic and socio-cultural ties. These relations have strengthened over the years through high-level visits and cooperation in various fields. Saudi Arabia is India’s fourth-largest trading partner, with over 18 percent of India’s crude oil imports sourced from the kingdom.

The visit of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman underscores the commitment of both nations to promote economic and strategic partnerships. It reflects a shared vision for enhanced cooperation in various sectors and a commitment to further strengthen the strong bilateral relationship.
