Punjab Congress President, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, echoed former CM Charanjit Singh Channi’s controversial “stuntbaazi” remark regarding the Pulwama attack. Warring suggested that the BJP could orchestrate such incidents during elections. His statement comes days after Channi’s similar assertion that the attack was staged to benefit the BJP.
Channi’s remarks had drawn criticism from the BJP, with leader Ravi Shankar Prasad accusing Congress of making deals with terrorists and undermining national security. Prasad emphasized the seriousness of the issue, stressing that martyrdom should not be mocked.
The Pulwama attack, which occurred in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, resulted in the death of an Indian Air Force soldier and injuries to four others. The incident has reignited political debates surrounding national security and terrorism ahead of elections.
