Bhowmik’s decision to switch parties reportedly stems from being denied a BJP ticket in the previous assembly elections, leading to a period of inactivity within the party. With the upcoming elections in two phases in Tripura, the political landscape is evolving. The West Tripura seat is slated for April 19th polling, followed by the East Tripura seat on April 26th, with the vote count scheduled for June 4th.

The nationwide elections encompassing 543 Lok Sabha seats will span seven phases, commencing on April 19th and concluding on June 1st. With a staggering 97 crore eligible voters, the democratic process is poised for significant engagement in the general election.
