Congress Announces 27 Poll Star Campaigners for J-K
The Indian National Congress (INC) has unveiled a list of 27 star campaigners, including top leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir. These leaders will rally for party candidates across the five phases of polling in the Union Territory.
High-profile Campaigners Listed
Among the prominent campaigners are party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Ambika Soni, Sachin Pilot, and Bharatsingh Solanki. The list, submitted by INC general secretary KC Venugopal, also features regional leaders like Tariq Hameed Karra and GA Mir, reflecting a diverse representation for the party’s campaign efforts.
With Lok Sabha polls scheduled in five phases starting April 19, the Congress aims to strengthen its presence in Jammu and Kashmir. The announcement comes amid preparations for Assembly elections, expected shortly after the parliamentary polls, as per Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar’s statement.
