NCERT to Introduce New Syllabus for Classes 3 and 6
NEW DELHI: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is set to release a new syllabus and textbooks for Classes 3 and 6 for the academic year 2024-25 starting from April 1, according to CBSE officials.
Transition Plans and Capacity Building
The CBSE has communicated that schools should adopt the new syllabi and textbooks for classes 3 and 6 once released, with a focus on facilitating a seamless transition for students. Additionally, capacity-building programs will be organized for school heads and teachers to align with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Schools are urged to align their practices with the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023 recommendations, incorporating methodologies like Multilingualism, Art-Integrated Education, and Experiential Learning. In line with the NEP 2020, the NCERT is developing new school textbooks to align with the revised National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023. The CBSE underscores the importance of adherence to curriculum directives and incorporating recommended methodologies for enhanced learning experiences.
The revised curriculum aims to streamline content and pedagogical practices, ensuring a balanced and effective learning experience for students across different grade levels. By aligning with the NCF-SE recommendations, schools can enhance teaching practices and foster holistic development among students.
