The reduction in the assembly’s strength and the majority mark posed a challenge. The crisis prompted a response from the All India Congress Committee (AICC) observers, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Bhupesh Baghel, and D.K. Shivakumar, who addressed the media in Shimla. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took responsibility for Abhishek Singhvi’s defeat in the Rajya Sabha polls, and a six-member coordination committee was established to address internal disagreements within the party.
