Canada Explores Airdropping Humanitarian Aid into Gaza: Minister

Canada’s International Development Minister Ahmed Hussen has revealed that the country is considering options, including potential airdrops of humanitarian aid into Gaza, possibly in collaboration with countries like Jordan.

Hussen, who recently visited Egypt and Jordan, highlighted the challenge of prolonged Israeli inspections on aid trucks at the Rafah border, limiting the amount of aid entering Gaza.

Ottawa has allocated 100 million Canadian dollars ($74 million) for aid in Gaza, with 40 million Canadian dollars ($30 million) provided in January alone since the commencement of Israel’s ground invasion.

Minister Hussen emphasized the positive impact of Canadian aid in the region during his recent visit.
