Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have been sentenced to seven years in the “un-Islamic nikah” case. The trial court’s verdict at Adiala jail imposed a fine of PKR 500,000 each on the couple. Imran Khan’s lawyer, Barrister Gohar, called the allegations “shameless” and announced plans to challenge the verdict in the high court.
