He was purportedly paraded naked on the second floor of the main hostel before taking the drastic step of jumping off the balcony.

They have formed a Special Investigating Team (SIT) to probe the circumstances leading to the student’s tragic demise. The case has been transferred to the capable hands of the homicide department, which is now spearheading the investigation.
WBCPCR Advocates for POCSO Act.
The West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights (WBCPCR) played a pivotal role in ensuring that the accused individuals were charged under the POCSO Act. The commission vehemently insisted on this course of action, emphasizing the importance of protecting children from any form of sexual exploitation and harassment. The victim’s family has alleged that their son was not only a victim of ragging but also subjected to sexual harassment.
