Congress Accuses Modi Government of National Security Deterioration
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh alleges a “serious deterioration” in India’s national security under the Modi government, citing Army Chief General Manoj Pande’s recent remarks. Ramesh points to issues with China, denial of Ladakh territory access, and increased terrorist activities in Rajouri-Poonch. He criticizes the PM’s 2020 statement on Chinese infiltration and accuses the government of a callous attitude toward national security. Ramesh claims China is making inroads in India’s neighborhood and questions the government’s actions. He also references former Army Chief Naravane’s revelation about the Agnipath Scheme surprising the military.
