Amit Shah Highlights Bharat-Centric Vision Under Modi’s Leadership
Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently emphasized the transformation in India’s vision towards a more ‘Bharat-centric’ approach after Narendra Modi assumed office as Prime Minister. Speaking at the Pujya Purani Swami Smriti Mahotsav in Ahmedabad, Shah highlighted the evolution in India’s trajectory post-independence, crediting the BJP’s efforts in redirecting the country’s vision.
Shah pointed out that after India gained independence, those deeply connected to the nation lamented the absence of a ‘Bharat-centric’ focus, which endured for years. He praised the tireless dedication of BJP workers from 1950 onwards, stating that several generations strived relentlessly to shift this paradigm. Shah acknowledged their sacrifices, noting that this vision was finally realized when Gujarat’s Chief Minister ascended to the position of Prime Minister, earning global acclaim for India.
Highlighting India’s strides, Shah underscored the nation’s advancement as a leading mobile phone manufacturer and its impressive rankings in startup initiatives and renewable energy production. He reaffirmed India’s robust security measures, asserting that the country’s capabilities in this aspect are beyond doubt.
Regarding Article 370’s abrogation in 2019, Shah credited its removal for quelling separatism and terrorism that had plagued the region for years. He praised Modi’s decisive action, heralding the move as a significant step towards national unity and security.
Speaking on the government’s unwavering stance against terrorism, Shah highlighted India’s resolute policy of zero tolerance. He referenced surgical strikes and air strikes as assertive measures to safeguard India’s borders and send a clear message to potential aggressors.
Expressing gratitude to the Swami Narayan Sampradaya for their contribution to Gujarat’s Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan, Shah acknowledged their pivotal role in advancing education. He credited the gurukuls of Swami Narayan Sampradaya for their instrumental support, essential for the successful implementation of educational initiatives across Gujarat.
