Tragic Road Accidents Claim Six Lives in Telangana’s Nalgonda District
Two separate road accidents in Telangana’s Nalgonda district resulted in the loss of six lives, with three individuals sustaining injuries, according to police reports.
In one incident, a collision due to heavy fog claimed the lives of four individuals who were en route to transport a deceased relative’s body for a funeral. Their vehicle collided with a jeep, the identities of the deceased yet to be confirmed.
Sub Inspector Gopal Rao from Nidamanoor Police Station stated, “A family from Hyderabad, traveling to pay their respects to a deceased relative, faced an accident involving their Tata Ace and a truck due to dense fog around 4 a.m.” Unfortunately, four individuals died instantly, while three others sustained injuries and are presently receiving medical care at Miryalguda Hospital in Nalgonda. Post-mortem procedures are underway, and further details are awaited.
The police also reported an earlier incident involving a biker from Hyderabad, who collided with a pedestrian in Vempad village on December 24. The collision resulted in the pedestrian’s immediate demise, while the biker succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.
SI Gopal Rao added that investigations into both accidents are ongoing, shedding light on the unfortunate and tragic series of events in the district.
