    Ongoing Security Operation

The operation to eliminate terrorists entrenched in the Gadole forest area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district has entered its sixth day. Security forces are employing drone technology to pinpoint hideouts and monitor the situation.

    Vow to Avenge Fallen Heroes

Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, has made a solemn commitment to avenge the death of three officers in the encounter. He expressed strong determination to bring the perpetrators to justice.

    Drones Reveal Clues

Drone footage has revealed a charred body near one of the destroyed hideouts used by the militants. Further information is expected after the area is thoroughly secured and examined by security forces.

    Surveillance and Security Measures

Security forces are utilizing drones and helicopters to surveil the dense forest region, which contains cave-like hideouts where terrorists have been holding out since the initial exchange of fire on Wednesday. To prevent terrorists from infiltrating civilian areas, the security cordon has been extended to the nearby Posh Kreeri area.

    Defiant Words from Lieutenant Governor

During a public event, Lieutenant Governor Sinha asserted that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain, and those responsible for the attack would face severe consequences. He emphasized the nation’s unwavering support for the security forces.

    Context of the Attack

The attack on security forces in Anantnag has been attributed to growing frustration among terrorist groups. This frustration is a response to the successful conduct of the G20 Summit and the crackdown on conflict profiteers in Jammu and Kashmir.

    Unified Effort Against Terrorism

Sinha called for an end to terrorism and the dismantling of the ecosystem that has oppressed the common people of Jammu and Kashmir.

    High-Level Monitoring

Key officials of the security apparatus in Kashmir, including the Director General of Police and the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army’s 15 Corps, are overseeing the operation. The Northern Army commander also visited the site to assess the operational situation.

    Remaining Terrorists

Authorities believe that two to three terrorists are still trapped in the forest area. The operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs, and efforts continue to neutralize the remaining militants.

    Tragic Loss of Lives

Colonel Manpreet Singh, Commanding Officer of the 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Major Ashish Dhonchak, Deputy Superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police Humayun Bhat, and a soldier lost their lives in the terrorist attack on Wednesday. Their sacrifice is a stark reminder of the challenges faced by security forces in the region.
