PCC Chief Wiqar Rasool Wani Vows to Expose BJP Across Every Corner
The executive team of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), including key functionaries and district presidents, recently convened under the leadership of PCC chief Vikar Rasool Wani. The focus of the meeting was to analyze the current political landscape and address pressing public concerns. This gathering of Congress leaders, representing various wings of the party, served as a platform for comprehensive discussions on these pivotal matters.
Congress’ National Presence and Election Strategies
During the meeting, the PCC president emphasized the widespread presence of the Congress party across India, contrasting it with the BJP’s limited reach. He highlighted that Congress, being a true national party, has a strong foothold in nearly all states and Union Territories. The party, he stated, is poised to achieve victory in the majority of states that recently went to polls, underscoring the Congress party’s resilience and widespread appeal, despite facing challenging tactics from the ruling BJP. This sentiment was echoed in predictions of a successful performance in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir elections and other states.
Preparations for Upcoming Elections in J&K
The meeting also shed light on the strategies for the forthcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The delay in these elections was attributed to the BJP’s apprehensions about their outcome. The JKPCC plans to intensify its outreach efforts across the Union Territory to ensure a strong presence and connect with the electorate. This outreach will include a crucial meeting within the next ten days, involving key leaders from the All India Congress Committee (AICC) to finalize the strategy.
Working president Raman Bhalla expressed confidence in the Congress party’s prospects, both in the recent state elections and the impending Jammu and Kashmir elections. He also called upon party leaders to intensify their organizational activities, focusing on exposing the failures of the Modi government, particularly in terms of price control and employment generation. The meeting concluded with a unified commitment to counter the BJP’s divisive tactics and address the deteriorating security situation in various parts of the Union Territory.
