Srinagar Hits Season’s Coldest Night at -1.8°C, Sub-zero Temperatures Across the Valley
In Kashmir, the minimum temperatures have taken a further plunge, marking the coldest night of the season in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, with a low of minus 1.8 degrees Celsius.According to a report from the news agency Kashmir News Observer, the night temperatures in the region have experienced a further decline, and the local weather forecast predicts dry weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
In Qazigund, the mercury settled at minus 1.0 degree Celsius, while Gulmarg recorded a minimum temperature of 0.6 degrees Celsius.The famous tourist destination of Pahalgam experienced a low of minus 3.3 degrees Celsius, and in Kupwara, located in north Kashmir, the minimum temperature dropped to minus 1.4 degrees Celsius.

The sub-zero temperatures coincide with foggy weather conditions, and the meteorological department anticipates that this weather pattern will persist until November 27.An independent weather forecaster, Kashmir Weather, reported that the coldest night was observed in Shopian, where the minimum temperature plummeted to minus 4.1 degrees Celsius. Additionally, other regions recorded varying sub-zero temperatures:
Bandipora at minus 2.7°C, Baramulla at -0.3°C, Budgam at -2.8°C, Ganderbal at -1.4°C, Pulwama at -3.2°C, Anantnag at -2.6°C, and Kulgam at -0.1°C.
