
Drug Awareness Campaign Held at Delhi Public School, Udhampur
A drug awareness campaign was organized at Delhi Public School, Udhampur, under the direction of SSP Udhampur Vinod Kumar. The campaign aimed to generate awareness against drug abuse and educate society about the harmful effects of this social issue. The event was also designed to make students aware of drug abuse and its long-term consequences.

- It was attended by DySP Hqrs. Udhampur Gurmeet Singh and PSI Pallvi Rajput.
- Participants included the Chairman, Principal, lecturers, and teachers of DPS Udhampur, along with other officers.
Addressing the Issue of Drug Abuse
During the event, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur Gurmeet Singh emphasized the importance of sensitizing people about the detrimental effects of drug addiction. He stressed that students play a vital role in combating this widespread issue in society. The primary objective of the awareness program was to reach out to the masses and educate them about the impact of drug abuse on individuals and society as a whole. Various aspects of narcotics, addiction, and related topics were discussed.
Cybercrime Awareness
In addition to drug abuse awareness, the event also touched upon the topic of cybercrime. Participants were educated about various types of cybercrimes, including hacking, credit card fraud, cyber terrorism, cyber stalking, and more. Preventive measures against cybercrime were also discussed.
Preventing Online Frauds
Youths were advised not to share their OTPs (One-Time Passwords) from credit cards, ATMs, and other online sources, as these can be exploited by online fraudsters.
Treatment and Rehabilitation
An expert in treating drug addicts shared insights into recognizing signs of drug addiction, the treatment and testing process, and the overall impact of drug abuse. The importance of various stakeholders, including parents, civil society, teachers, police, the health department, and the judiciary, in addressing the issue of drug abuse was highlighted.
