
Ayushman Bhav Campaign Launched in Ladakh to Enhance Healthcare Access. / Daily Excelsior
The Ayushman Bhav campaign was officially launched in Ladakh by the Lieutenant Governor, Brig (Retd) Dr. B D Mishra, during a state-level launch event. The campaign was inaugurated by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, through video conferencing. Ayushman Bhav is a comprehensive healthcare initiative that aims to improve healthcare access and awareness across India, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, focusing on “Healthy Villages.”
Enhancing Healthcare Access and Awareness
The Ayushman Bhav campaign seeks to provide healthcare services, education, and support to all segments of society, ensuring that good health is recognized as a fundamental right. It is an effort to make healthcare accessible to every individual and to raise awareness about healthcare services.
LG Ladakh Emphasizes Healthcare Importance
During his virtual address, Lieutenant Governor Dr. B D Mishra emphasized the crucial role healthcare services play in the well-being and prosperity of a region as unique and geographically challenging as Ladakh. He highlighted the need for accessible and quality healthcare facilities, particularly in remote areas, to effectively meet the healthcare requirements of the local population.
Support for Organ Donation
Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Advisor of UT Ladakh, praised the dedicated efforts of healthcare workers in Ladakh and stressed the importance of organ donation. He encouraged individuals and families to consider registering as organ donors, emphasizing the positive impact such a decision can have on society.
Launch of Tuberculosis Diagnosis Van
As part of the event, Dr. Pawan officially launched the Tuberculosis (TB) Diagnosis Van, an innovative initiative aimed at bringing TB diagnosis services closer to the public. Equipped with the latest technology, including the Cartridge-Based Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (CBNAAT), the TB Diagnosis Van will travel to various communities, including remote and underserved areas, to provide timely and accurate TB diagnosis services. This initiative is a crucial step in the ongoing efforts to combat tuberculosis.
The launch event was attended by several dignitaries, healthcare officials, and representatives from various departments, emphasizing the importance of healthcare access and awareness in Ladakh.
