    Sopore, September 13: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has ordered a detailed inquiry into alleged irregularities in the utilization of funds at PM Shri Government Boys High School Tarzoo Panjipora in Zone Sopore.

    The inquiry follows a social media news report published by Daily United Times on August 31, 2026, which raised allegations concerning the use of funds at the school.

    According to an order issued by the Office of the Joint Director, North, School Education Department, on September 9, a three-member committee has been constituted to conduct a discreet and detailed investigation into the matter.

    Mushtaq Ahmad, Principal, HSS Dangerpora, has been appointed chairperson of the committee. Abdul Qayoom Dar, Principal, HSS Bomai, and Shahnawaz Sultan, Senior Assistant, GHSS Singhpora Kalan, are the two members.

    The committee has been asked to examine the school’s records and verify the allegations through a financial audit and physical inspection of works carried out, procurements made, records maintained and activities conducted during the past three years.

    The panel will also examine relevant documents and establish the factual position regarding the allegations.

    The education department has directed the committee to submit its report, along with specific findings, observations and recommendations supported by documentary evidence, within five days of receiving the communication.

    The inquiry is aimed at determining the facts surrounding the alleged financial irregularities and whether any further administrative action is required.
