Houthi Drone Attack Disrupts Operations at Saudi Arabia’s Najran Airport

Riyadh, Aug. 5 [VoM News]: Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for a drone strike on Saudi Arabia’s Najran Airport, leading to the suspension of flight operations, AFP reported.

As per details available, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group had successfully targeted a sensitive site at Najran Airport using a drone.

He claimed the attack was carried out in response to alleged Saudi drone operations over Yemen’s Saada and Hajjah governorates.

Sources have also told VoM News that the radar system at Saudi Arabia’s Najran Airport was struck, triggering flight disruptions.

Meanwhile, Lebanon and Israel have entered the seventh round of talks in Rome, where the disarmament of Hezbollah, the establishment of pilot zones, and the withdrawal of forces are on the agenda.

However, although the talks are ongoing, a Hezbollah spokesperson has strongly criticized the Lebanese President for being impartial and alleged that the efforts would never be fruitful.
