The Directorate of AYUSH, District Administration Kishtwar, led by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) and under the diligent supervision of District Nodal Officer AYUSH, Dr. Vikram Singh Jamwal, has embarked on a remarkable journey to enhance healthcare accessibility and services for the local community.
Over the past four years, 18 Ayush Health and Wellness Centres in Kishtwar have undergone substantial upgrades, marking a significant advancement in healthcare infrastructure.These upgraded Ayush Centres now offer a comprehensive range of holistic healthcare services, including Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy, designed to address the diverse healthcare needs of the residents of Kishtwar.
This initiative aligns with ancient Ayurvedic principles, providing the local population with holistic healthcare options. In a recent update, the Centre proudly shared that 58 Asha workers have been engaged to further enhance their healthcare services.In addition to this, the Centre has established state-of-the-art Diagnostic Centres and Herbal Gardens, reinforcing it’s commitment to comprehensive healthcare solutions. Furthermore, the Centre has diligently conducted regular screenings for communicable diseases, reinforcing its dedication to disease prevention and public health.
Also effectively addressing anemia-related health concerns and provide the necessary care and guidance to improve the overall health of lactating mothers and their babies. Besides School health check up camps were also organised regularly for children.These initiatives mark a significant step towards a healthier and more resilient community, with the Ayush Health and Wellness Centre continuing to be at the forefront of healthcare innovation.
