Kishtwar, Jan. 01, 2024: In an ongoing crackdown on illicit liquor trade, the Kishtwar Police achieved a significant breakthrough by confiscating 48 bottles of JK Special Whiskey.

During routine patrolling and naka checking, officers from PS Kishtwar intercepted an individual and found him in possession of 48 bottles of JK Special Whiskey. Subsequently, the police arrested the individual on the spot.

The detained individual has been identified as Tariq Hussain, Son of Mohd Abas, a resident of Gurain Kishtwar.

A case, FIR No. 01/2024 U/sec. 48(a) Excise Act, has been lodged at PS Kishtwar, and the investigative process is currently underway.
