Vande Bharat Express to Halt at Udhampur and Kathua Stations: A Boon for Commuters

Union Minister Jitendra Singh announced on Sunday that the new Vande Bharat Express train operating between Katra and Delhi, commencing its service from December 30, will make halts at Udhampur and Kathua railway stations.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for acknowledging the persistent demand for these stoppages, Singh highlighted the significant benefits this decision would bring to the region.

The minister underlined that the inclusion of Udhampur and Kathua stations as stops for the Vande Bharat Express would not only provide immense relief to commuters but also facilitate easier travel, enhance business opportunities, and improve overall living conditions.

Singh lauded this development as a much-needed step to address the continuous demand from residents and travelers in these areas.

Singh took to social media to share the positive news, expressing joy and appreciation for PM Modi’s responsiveness to the requests.

He emphasized that since the inception of the Vande Bharat train service between Katra and Delhi in 2019, there had been consistent appeals for these additional stops, making this inclusion a significant victory for the people of Udhampur and Kathua.

The decision to incorporate these stations into the train route marks a welcome move that is anticipated to streamline travel experiences and create better opportunities for businesses and livelihoods in these regions.

This development aims to improve connectivity, convenience, and accessibility for passengers, underscoring the government’s commitment to enhancing transportation infrastructure across the country.
