Union Budget 2026 Recognises Gig Economy as Key Pillar of India’s Workforce: TimBuckDo Co-Founder Mythri Kumar

New Delhi: Welcoming the Union Budget 2026–27, Mythri Kumar, Co-Founder of TimBuckDo, said the government has taken a decisive step towards building a Viksit Bharat by formally recognising the gig economy as a critical pillar of India’s workforce.

In a statement, Mythri said provisions such as social security coverage, digital ID cards and access to government services for gig workers would bring long-awaited dignity, stability and inclusion to millions of independent professionals across the country.
