
Unidentified Masked Persons Open Fire in Jammu; None Injured
The Jammu district has seen a horror roundoff in the last few days, as multiple gunfire incidents have been reported.
As per reports, some unknown masked person who arrived in a car at a farmhouse in the Phallian Mandal area of Jammu City opened fire on another vehicle. Reports say the incident took place tonight. No one got injured.
The unknown attackers also broke the windows of the vehicle before fleeing away. The police have said that the incident may have a rivalry angle and ruled out any involvement of a terror angle in this.
However, a few days back, a man died after a miscreant opened fire at him in the Jewel Chowk area of Jammu. Talking to the reporters, ADGP Jammu Anand Jain termed it a gang war between two groups.
He stated that the slain was a member of the ‘Gataru gang.’. ” The killing has no terror angle to it.
The victim succumbed to his injuries at GMC Jammu,” the ADGP said.
Another incident was recorded on January 03, when a BJP leader’s son was attacked by a power development department official in the New Plot area.
This created the state of fear in the heart of Jammu. However, police is actively monitoring the situation.
