Two Criminals Arrested in Jammu, Country-Made Pistol Seized by Police

In a series of operations on Sunday, police in Jammu arrested two individuals suspected of criminal activities, one of whom was found in possession of a country-made pistol.
The first arrest occurred at Nagrota, where Dheeraj Kumar, a resident of Jethali in Doda district, was intercepted while traveling on a motorcycle from Udhampur to Jammu. During the routine check, police recovered a country-made pistol from Kumar, leading to his immediate arrest.
The motorcycle was also seized as evidence, and a case has been registered against Kumar under relevant sections of the law.
The second arrest took place in the Kanachak area on the outskirts of Jammu. Police apprehended Lyiqat Ali, also known as Bulla, who is a resident of R S Pura.
Ali has a history of criminal activities, including an attack on a police party in Kanachak and involvement in bovine smuggling. His arrest marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities in the region.
Both suspects are now in police custody as investigations continue. The arrests are part of the police’s broader initiative to enhance security and reduce crime in the Jammu region.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to taking stringent action against individuals involved in illegal activities, ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
