According to officials, the victims—all pony handlers—sustained lower limb injuries in the incident. They were immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.
The injured have been identified as Ajaiz Ahmad Jothad (29), son of Mohammad Abdullah Jothad from Batkote; Mohammad Yousuf (25), son of Mira Jara from Lehedagen; and Farooq Ahmad Gami (45), son of Ab Salam Gami from Bemina, Srinagar.
Following the collapse, police and civil administration teams rushed to the site to assess the situation and ensure there were no further casualties. Authorities have also launched an inquiry to determine the cause of the incident.
