
Tehsildar Tangmarg Attached Over Changes of Misconduct
The Jammu and Kashmir Revenue Department has initiated disciplinary action against Javid Ahmed Sheikh, a JKAS officer serving as Tehsildar in Tangmarg Baramulla.
An order issued by the government states that Javid Ahmed Sheikh has been attached to the office of the Financial Commissioner (Revenue), J&K, pending an inquiry into his conduct as a public servant.

The directive, signed by Secretary Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, IAS, took immediate effect. It also instructs the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla to assign the responsibilities of Tehsildar Tangmarg to another officer with impeccable integrity until further orders.
The government has circulated copies of the order to senior officials, including the Financial Commissioner (Revenue), the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, and the Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor.
