Sun Pharma Announces Acquisition of Remaining Stake in Taro Pharmaceutical
India’s Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd has revealed plans to acquire the remaining outstanding shares of Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. Valued at approximately 2,891 crore Indian Rupees, this strategic move is expected to strengthen Sun Pharma’s global position.
The acquisition, subject to regulatory approvals, is anticipated to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to long-term growth.
The deal is set to close in the first half of 2024, leading to Taro becoming a privately held company.
