Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain chaired a significant meeting, aimed at reviewing and enhancing the functioning of the Jammu and Kashmir Police across various levels. DGP Swain emphasized the importance of open communication and constructive feedback within the police force. He stressed the need for cost-effective law enforcement measures that are not only efficient but also aligned with national security interests. The Jammu and Kashmir Police, he noted, has admirably confronted various challenges, securing a prominent position among the nation’s law enforcement agencies.

During the meeting, the DGP directed officers to prioritize enhancing professional ethics among personnel and ensuring transparency and accountability in their work. He encouraged a culture of self-correction, highlighting that embracing self-improvement should be a source of pride. The optimal utilization of resources was another key point, with the DGP affirming that all necessary support and resources would be provided at the PHQ level to bolster operations.
