Stallion India Fluorochemicals Files Draft Red Herring Prospectus for IPO
Mumbai-based Stallion India Fluorochemicals has submitted a draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its upcoming initial public offering (IPO). The DRHP contains comprehensive details about the company’s financial performance, future outlook, and other pertinent information essential for potential investors.
IPO Composition and Offer
The proposed IPO will comprise 1,78,58,740 fresh equity shares along with an offer-for-sale (OFS) of 43,02,656 equity shares by promoter Shazad Sheriar Rustomji. The OFS entails the promoters selling their shares to raise additional capital for the company’s growth initiatives.
Shazad Sheriar Rustomji currently holds a significant 94.60 percent stake in Stallion India Fluorochemicals, while the remaining 5.37 percent shares are owned by public shareholder Geetu Yadav, as per the DRHP.
Company Overview and Business Activities
Stallion India is primarily engaged in the sale of refrigerant gases, industrial gases, and related products. Its core operations involve debulking, blending, and processing of refrigerant and industrial gases, as well as the sale of pre-filled cans. With over two decades of industry expertise, the company has established itself as a trusted player in the domain.
The net proceeds from the fresh issue will be allocated towards various operational and strategic objectives, including funding incremental working capital requirements, supporting capital expenditure for semi-conductor and specialty gas facilities in Maharashtra, and funding capital expenditure for refrigerant facilities in Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, the funds will be utilized for general corporate purposes, as outlined in the DRHP.
Strategic Rationale for IPO
The company believes that listing on the stock exchange will enhance its corporate image, strengthen its brand presence, and create a vibrant market for its equity shares in India. Moreover, it anticipates that listing will facilitate easier access to financing for future expansion and diversification endeavors. Furthermore, the IPO is expected to attract interest from institutional investors and foreign institutional investors, adding value to the company’s growth trajectory.
