In a concerted effort to bolster security and enhance intelligence collaboration, SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, chaired a crucial Subsidiary Multi-Agency Centre (SMAC) meeting at the District Police Headquarters in Kishtwar today. The session was attended by key officers from the Police, Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and various intelligence agencies operating within the district.
The meeting focused on a comprehensive review of the current security landscape, particularly in light of recent terrorist activities. Participants exchanged critical insights, suggestions, and assessments, with an emphasis on formulating joint strategies for effective ground monitoring.
This included plans for area domination, surveillance of anti-social elements, real-time intelligence sharing, and social media monitoring in preparation for the upcoming Deepawali celebrations. Specific instructions were issued to ensure robust security measures during these significant occasions.
Additionally, discussions were held regarding the security of hydraulic electric power projects and other vital installations within the district. SSP Kishtwar stressed the importance of safeguarding these critical infrastructures to ensure the stability and development of the region.
