Smile Foundation Organizes Mass Marriage Ceremony for 50 Orphan Girls in Srinagar

Srinagar, 06 January – In a heartwarming event that underscored the spirit of generosity and community, Smile Foundation organized a mass marriage ceremony for 50 orphan girls at the Marriage Hall in Barbarshah, Srinagar.

The Nikkah ceremony was conducted in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, family members, and well-wishers, creating a memorable day for the newlyweds.

The occasion was graced by MLA Habba Kadal, Miss Shamima Firdous, who attended as the Chief Guest. Prominent social worker Syed Aijaz Kashani, noted public figure Mr. Umer Wani, youth leader Mr. Manzur Ahmad Bhat, and Regional Director IGNOU Kashmir, Mr. Sajad Rezvi, were among the distinguished guests who lent their presence to the noble initiative.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Shamima Firdous lauded the efforts of Smile Foundation in supporting underprivileged families and emphasized the importance of collective responsibility towards society. Social worker Syed Aijaz Kashani and Mr. Umer Wani delivered heartfelt speeches, praising the initiative for its impactful contribution to the community.

Kashmir Mass Marriage Event Unites Nearly 100 Brides from Underprivileged Backgrounds

The ceremony was a celebration of compassion, with Smile Foundation’s Chairman, Mr. Sajad Ahmad Sholla, expressing gratitude to all stakeholders for their support in making the event a success.
