Singapore Changi Tops List of Most Instagrammable Airports as US Hubs and Dubai Lead on Social Media
According to a January 2026 report exploring popular airports on social media, Singapore Changi Airport is the most Instagrammable terminal in the world. The study by influencer marketing platform Heepsy examined 51 major international airports based on Instagram hashtags and followers.
- Singapore Changi Airport is the most Instagrammable terminal in the world, with 1.7M combined Instagram reach through hashtags, posts, and followers.
- American airports are filling social media feeds, as four of the top 10 hubs where people take most photos are in the US.
- Dubai Airport has the largest social media presence, counting more than 600K followers on Instagram.
The research examined Instagram visibility across 51 of the world’s busiest airports to identify which ones get the most attention online. Each airport was evaluated using three popularity factors: Instagram hashtags showing how often the airport gets mentioned, the number of posts tagged at the location, and follower counts on official airport accounts. The study also looked at additional data, including passenger traffic numbers, global airport rankings, and the number of duty-free stores at each location.
Here’s a look at the top 10 most Instagrammable airports:
| Airport | Location | 2025 Global Airport Rank | Combined Instagram Reach | N of Duty Free Stores |

Tabi Vicuña, Founder at Heepsy, commented on the study:
“Instagram users love sharing photos from unusual places, and airports are one of those spots. Most people don’t travel every day, so when they do fly somewhere, they make sure to let others know about it on social media. Modern airports also offer a great setup for Instagram photos with their bright lighting, open spaces, and interesting design features that look cool.”
