In the Surankote region of Poonch district, security forces discovered a concealed hideout in the Sangla Khoni Nahalla area on Friday.
A collaborative effort between the police and the army’s 16RR led to the unearthing of the hideout, where a subsequent search operation yielded a significant cache of arms and ammunition.
Among the recovered items were a 1.51 Mortar, three mortar shells, one pistol, and five rounds of pistol ammunition. The recovered arsenal has been transported to the Surankote police station for further investigation, according to a statement by a police official.
