Doda, Apr 6: The Sazan–Lal Draman road in Doda has fallen into disrepair, prompting residents to call for urgent intervention from the authorities.
Raising the issue, social activist Arshad Ayoob said the road’s condition has worsened considerably, with deep potholes and an uneven surface making daily travel difficult for students, locals and drivers.
He noted that the situation becomes even more hazardous during bad weather, increasing the risk of accidents and damage to vehicles. “People are facing daily hardships due to the poor condition of the road,” he said.

The road is a key link for several villages and also provides access to Lal Draman, a well-known tourist spot in the region. Its present condition, Ayoob said, is affecting both connectivity and safety.
He urged the district administration and the Public Works Department to take immediate steps for repair and proper maintenance of the road.
Residents have expressed hope that the authorities will act swiftly to restore the road and ease the difficulties faced by commuters.
