Samba, March 25, 2025: Samba Police has achieved a major success in its fight against narcotics smugglers/peddlers, arrested a Punjab based drug smuggler with cash of rupees 7,46,500.00 and recovered 20 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.

A Police party headed by SHO PS Vijaypur under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba during vehicle checking naka near AIIMS Vijaypur, intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration No. JK08P-3662 coming from Rakh Barotian side towards NHW for its checking. During checking, cash of rupees 7,46,500.00 alongwith 20 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of rider.

The drug smuggler identified as Makhan Din S/o Swar Din R/o Village Lauka tehsil Patti district Tarn Taran (Punjab) has been arrested.

A case FIR No 34/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
