“Batting with Ellyse Perry was a wonderful experience. She provided valuable guidance, and her performances with both bat and ball were instrumental in our success. She is truly a legend,” Ghosh remarked.

Perry’s outstanding performance throughout the tournament earned her the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs, tallying 347 runs at an impressive average of 69.4, including two half-centuries. Additionally, she contributed with the ball, claiming seven wickets, including a remarkable six-wicket haul.

Reflecting on RCB’s triumph, Ghosh expressed her joy at finally securing a trophy for the team and eagerly anticipated celebrating with the fans in Bengaluru. She also highlighted the special moment when the team received a video call from former RCB men’s skipper Virat Kohli after their win.

Delhi Capitals, batting first after winning the toss, got off to a strong start with openers Shafali Varma and skipper Meg Lanning. However, RCB’s bowlers, led by Shreyanka Patil, Sophie Molineux, and Asha Sobhana, staged a remarkable comeback to restrict Delhi to 113 runs.
